In the red again...

The indices are in the red again and have lost considerably in the last hour. Loss on heavy weight counters like HLL, RIL, RPL and SBI is pulling the sensex down. Investors can't seem to shake off the fear of war. Mixed activity seen in pharma stocks. Selective interest seen in PSU and pharma stocks.

The BSE Sensex is at 3,147 (down 13 points) and the NSE Nifty is at 1,035 (down 7 points). The rupee is trading at Rs 49.00 per US dollar.

Voltas (VOLTd.BO, news) has announced good yearly results. The company recorded a 200% increase in net profits. The topline grew by nearly 13%. The scrip is up 7%. Another company that posted good results is Hind Lever (HLLd.BO, news) Chemicals. The company posted a growth of 50% in net profits while its revenues have gone up by 17%. The stock is up 2%.

Wipro (WIPRd.BO, news) Technologies, the global IT services division of the Bangalore-based Wipro Ltd, became the world's first company to be certified at level 5 of version 1.1 of CMMi. This is likely to win more clients for the company in the high-end knowledge intensive space. This new certification is considered more elaborate than the CMM level 5 certification that Wipro achieved a few years back. The scrip is up marginally.
