Bandspeed Announces Beta Program for North American and Asia Pacific ODMs and OEMs
Vendors of enterprise access points will evaluate and test the Bandspeed solution, which includes silicon, software and a reference design. They will also provide Bandspeed valuable feedback as the company ramps to production. "The top tier enterprise wireless LAN ODMs in the Asia Pacific (ASPI.BO, news) region are constantly striving to hone their competitive edge," said Alan Chui, president of YEL Electronics Ltd., Bandspeed's Asia Pacific distributor. "YEL has already seen great interest among those ODMs in participating in this beta program so that they can more quickly and cost effectively produce products that have clear competitive advantage." "In addition to helping shape the finishing feature details of this product, beta partners will be given insight into the future product roadmap and have the ability to influence it," said Frank Ellis, vice president of sales, Bandspeed. "Leading wireless LAN vendors actively participate in beta programs to build and maintain their competitive advantage. The flexibility of the Bandspeed solution makes this opportunity even more valuable, as it gives chosen OEMs and ODMs the immediate ability to begin planning and developing their future-proofed products." Beta product is available now, and beta partners will be using the product and receiving technical support for the approximate three month duration of the program. OEMs and ODMs that wish to participate in the beta program should contact Bandspeed's authorized sales representatives.
