BT Infonet Signs Three-Year Global Communications Contract with Volkswagen AG; Leading Automaker Steers Management of 200-Site Global Network to BT In
Under the terms of the deal, Volkswagen AG will again operate its 200-site worldwide communications network with BT Infonet. Volkswagen is continuing its nearly eight-year partnership with BT Infonet, and has expanded the scope of its contract with nearly all of BT Infonet's services, including Internet, Mobility and MultiMedia Services. Contributing to securing the contract was BT Infonet's flexible pricing and ability to deliver tailor-made solutions to quickly meet Volkswagen's evolving communications requirements. "This new contract with Volkswagen confirms our strategy to deliver advanced network services to global companies, while at the same time adapting ourselves to our clients' local needs," said Micheline Wens, general manager, Infonet Germany.
