CII Bengal appointments

Biswadip Gupta was elected chairman of CII West Bengal today.
Gupta is managing director of Vesuvius (VESU.BO, news) India, a maker of continuous casting refractories used in modern steel plants.
Mukul Somany, joint managing director of Hindustan National Glass & Industries Ltd (HNGI), was elected vice-chairman of CII West Bengal for 2005-06.
The Rs 200 crore HNGI exports glass and glass products. Somany was earlier chairman of the family business sub-committee of CII eastern region for 2004-05.
