Tata Elxsi net up 50%, payout at 55%

Tata Elxsi (TTEX.BO, news) has posted a 32.4 per cent growth in profit after tax at Rs 8.17 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2005, as compared with Rs 6.17 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2004. Total income increased from Rs 45.43 crore in fourth quarter of 2004 to Rs 52.80 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2005. The company posted a profit after tax of Rs 26.29 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005, up 50 per cent from Rs 17.54 crore for the year ended March 31, 2004. Total income increased from Rs 155 crore in FY-04 to Rs 186.85 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005. The board of directors has recommended a dividend of 55 per cent (Rs 5.50 per share of Rs 10 each) on the paid up capital of the company for the year ended March 31, 2005.
