NASA's new Endeavour goes well, shuttle takes off

By IBNLive.com
New Delhi: The NASA's space shuttle Endeavour blasted off on Thursday on an 11-day mission to the International Space Station.

The shuttle took off from the Kennedy Space Centre on its first flight in five years, carrying a team of seven astronauts.

Among others on board are Barbara Morgan, the first teacher astronaut in 21 years.

The shuttle is on a mission to continue construction and maintenance on the International Space Station, what NASA officials call building for the future.

The mission could be extended three additional days if all goes well.
