Video: Bangladesh port prospers with modern equipments |

Chittagong port, July 20(ANI): The introduction of modern equipment and a drive against corruption in Bangladesh has helped Chittagong port to boost its volume and slash turnaround time. Cargo handling at the port rose from seven percent to a record 29 million tonnes in the financial year till June 2008. The average turnaround time for a ship has also halved to 2.42 days. The port handles more than 80 percent of the country's external trade.
