Wall St loses ground on financials, oil |

NEW YORK (Reuters) - The Dow turned negative on Wednesday, while the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq pared early gains, as oil prices sharply trimmed their decline and shares of financial services companies reversed an initial rise.
The Dow Jones industrial average shed 14.01 points, or 0.12 percent, to 11,588.49. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index inched up 2.08 points, or 0.16 percent, to 1,279.08. The Nasdaq Composite Index slipped 5.14 points, or 0.22 percent, to 2,309.10.
