BSE Sensex provisionally closes up 0.6 pct

MUMBAI (Reuters) – The BSE Sensex (^BSESN : 16025.39 -16.79) provisionally gained 0.6 percent on Tuesday, with software companies leading the rise, supported by mostly positive world equities.

The 30-share BSE index provisionally ended up 0.59 percent or 94.34 points at 16,029.95 points with 18 components gaining.

The 50-share NSE (^NSEI : 4779.2 -13.45) index provisionally closed up 0.55 percent at 4,786.45.
