Sensex slips below 15,000 mark

Stocks pared some losses after falling 2 per cent in late morning trade on Wednesday, as data showed India's June industrial output grew a faster-than-expected 7.8 per cent.

At 11:52 a.m., the 30-share BSE (^BSESN : 16632.01 -222.92) index was down 1.6 per cent at 14,829.70 points, with 27 stocks declining, after falling to as much as 14,770.09 earlier.

The 50-share NSE (^NSEI : 4941.75 -63.8) index was down 1.7 per cent at 4,396.
