BSE Sensex falls more than 2 pct early

MUMBAI (Reuters) - The BSE Sensex (^BSESN : 16033.79 -8.39) fell more than 2 percent early on Friday, tailing global markets that tumbled spooked by sovereign debt in Europe and weak U.S. jobs data.

At 9:01 a.m. (0331 GMT), the 30-share BSE index was trading down 2.19 percent at 15,870.40 points, with all components losing.

The 50-share NSE (^NSEI : 4782.8 -9.85) index was down 2.36 percent at 4,731.55.
