Sony Ericsson rechristened
Sony Ericsson has announced the next stage of its business transformation with the realignment of its external visual identity. The brand message is make.believe.This global campaign will focus on India as one of the key markets and will support the launch of Sony Ericsson's exciting new entertainment products the Aino, Satio and Yari next month. A series of strategic marketing campaigns over the next few weeks will launch the realigned visual identity and flag off the new campaign.
Brands go rural
Marketing specialist, RCandM organising a rural carnival, Grameenon Ke Beech (GKB). The platform provides exposure to rural audiences while moving from village to village. According to Priya Monga, business head, RCandM, "By creating a common platform at the fairs, we provide brands a direct contact with a family that includes multiple target groups." GKB is being operationalised in Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra 960 villages in the 5-15K pop strata will be covered through pre-publicity and mela activity with 240 events slated for the next two months. Coca-Cola India has announced the launch of a digital initiative, Khushiyan Replay. Consumers can win a Samsung camcorder every hour for the next 40 days. The initiative will run from September 10 through October 19. The consumer needs to buy a bottle of Coca-Cola and look under the crown or behind the label for a nine digit unique code. The initiative is applicable to 200 ml, 300 ml returnable glass bottles and also on 350 ml, 500 ml, 600 ml, 1.25, 1.5 and 2.25 litres pet bottles. The participants are required to SMS COKE followed by the unique code to 58558 from the GSM/CDMA mobile phones or call at 186 0233 1233 and register the unique code through an interactive voice response system.
