SREI Infra sees Apr-June disbursements up 10 pct
KOLKATA (Reuters) - SREI Infrastructure Finance Ltd's loans in the April-June quarter is expected to rise 10 percent, its vice-chairman said on Friday.
The equipment financing company had disbursed loans worth 11 billion rupees in the April-June quarter this year, Sunil Kanoria told reporters at a media briefing.
"In the first quarter we have disbursed around 11 billion rupees compared to 10 billion rupees in the same period a year ago," he said.
The Kolkata-based company is looking to disburse 70 billion rupees in FY10, compared to around 55 billion rupees reported in 2008/09, he said.
"We are hopeful that the demand for loans would pick up in the second half of the year, and we are looking to grow our loan book by over 25 percent in 2009/10," Kanoria said.
