DLF bags 350-acre leisure project in Gurgaon
By fe Bureaus
Realty major DLF has emerged to be the successful bidder of the proposed 350 acre recreation and leisure project to come up in Gurgaon. The fresh bids, which Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) invited in July, had received bid from two more companies Malaysia-based Country Heights Holdings in consortium with Bharti Realty, and Unitech _ but both the players were not found to be technically qualified for the development of the project.
"DLF emerged to be successful in the technical evaluation process and the other two were disqualified. Now the proposal has been sent to the state government for approval thereafter the project will be awarded to DLF," a senior official of HSIIDC informed FE.
If the Haryana government awards the project to DLF, this would be one of the biggest land deals that the country has seen.
DLF has quoted its bid at Rs 12,000 per square metre against the reserve price of Rs 11,978 per square metre for the project
The corporation had initially invited international competitive bids for allotment of 350 acre on freehold basis on Gurgaon-Faridabad road in village Wazirabad, district Gurgaon in January this year for setting up of recreation and leisure project. The bids closed on April 30 and DLF emerged to be the sole bidder for the project.
