French 2009 budget deficit seen at 130 billion euros

PARIS (Reuters) - The French state deficit in 2009 will be some 130 billion euros ($191 billion) but will be less than that in 2010, Budget Minister Eric Woerth said on Sunday in an interview on the I-tele television channel

"It will be some 130 billion. When I say 130 I am not totally certain because I do not know what the tax revenues will be from companies between now and the end of the year, nor the value added tax," he said.

"The forecast is below that for (the) 2010 (deficit) -- it will be 110 or 115 billion," he added, saying the fall would be due to better economic growth.
