Markets shut for holiday

Indian stock, bond, foreign exchange and commodities markets will be closed on Monday for a public holiday.

The Bombay Stock Exchange (^BSESN : 17519.26 +29.18)'s main index closed up 0.18 per cent at 16,741.30 points on Friday.

The partially convertible rupee ended at 48.13/14 per dollar on Friday a shade above Thursday's close of 48.15/16.

The benchmark 10-year bond yield ended at 7.09 per cent, five basis points below the previous close.
