BSE Sensex briefly turns positive

MUMBAI (Reuters) - The BSE Sensex (^BSESN : 16031.88 -10.3) briefly turned positive on Friday morning, recovering from early losses of as much as 0.8 percent on falls in foreign markets, with sentiment supported by robust growth data this week.

At 10:34 a.m. (0504 GMT), the 30-share BSE index was down 0.02 percent at 17,181.52 points, with 13 components declining. It rose as high as 17,189.14.

The 50-share NSE (^NSEI : 4779.55 -13.1) index was down 0.1 percent at 5,026.10.
