HT-Burda bags Rs 100 cr order

New Delhi, March 14 -- HT Burda Media (HTB), the 51:49 joint venture between HT Media and Germany's Hubert Burda Media, has bagged its first major international printing contract from French company Outiror.

The 16 million euro (about Rs 100 crore) contract is one of the single-largest printing contracts in recent times.

HTB would be the exclusive printing partner for Outiror for the next two years and will print 100 million catalogues - 20 diffrent types - every year for the company's 3 brands, Direct Delta, Outiror and Oye Oye, at its newly-commissioned Rotogravuere printing presses at Greater Noida.

Outiror is the market leader in France for "Market on wheels" retail selling.

HTB bagged the contract in competitive bidding against printers from Italy, France and Germany.

"It is very satisfying to know that HTB has been selected as the printing partner for Outiror in India," said BS Shesh, Business Head of HTB.

"This is also the first order for a Rotograveure printing facility in India to print high-end catalogues," Shesh said. "With this, we hope HTB will establish itself as one of the best printing facilities in the world."
