Jet Airways sees demand up in 6 months

MUMBAI (Reuters) - Jet Airways Ltd, India's No.2 airline by market share, is confident of demand and yields per seat rising in the next six months, executive director Saroj Datta said on Tuesday.

Indian airlines are reeling under mounting losses as demand wanes and high operating costs forcing them to look at fund raising options.

Jet, which reported its quarterly net loss widened, is trying to sell new shares to institutions.

The firm has a net debt of $3.1 billion, Datta told reporters in a conference call.
