ICICI Bank - balance sheet contraction over
MUMBAI (Reuters) - The managing director of ICICI Bank (ICICIBANK.NS : 850.9 -14.6
)'s said India's largest private bank had completed a phase of balance sheet contraction and expected its loan book to grow in single digits in the current year.
The loan book would be driven by new corporate, housing and auto loans, Chanda Kochhar told reporters in a conference call.
ICICI Bank's loan book has fallen for five quarters as it slowed lending to clean up its souring retail loans portfolio.
