Chana futures fall on subdued demand

Chana futures prices lost 0.34 per cent on Thursday tracking weak spot market.

At the MCX counter, chana for far December-month contract fell by 0.34 per cent to Rs 2,635 per quintal, in trading volume in 50 lots.

While, November contract declined by 0.24 per cent to Rs 2,535 per quintal, having a business volume in 51 lots.

Traders said subdued demand in the spot markets against adequate stock positions, mainly led to fall in chana prices.

They said increased supply from producing regions of Rajasthan, also dampened the trading sentiment.
