PNB extends festival bonanza by another two month

The country's second largest public sector lender Punjab National Bank (PNB) on Thursday announced extension of its festival offer on housing and car loans up to December 2009.

The 'Festival Bonanza Offer-2009', as per the earlier scheme, was valid till October 31.

As a part of its offer, PNB extends housing loans of up to Rs 30 lakh at discounted interest rate of 8.50 per cent (fixed) for first three years, while in case of floating option, the rate would be 2 to 2.50 per cent below BPLR, the bank said in a statement.

Besides this, the festive bonanza of PNB also offers complete waiver of processing fee and documentation charges on housing loans up to Rs 30 lakh. Margin on housing loans up to Rs 20 lakh has also been slashed to 15 per cent, it said.

The bank has also reduced the interest rate on car loans by 50 basis points, besides permitting relaxation in processing fee and documentation charges.
